Fall in Paris is an exciting time. The weather is often gorgeous, sunny and crisp. It is a delight to be out and about. The major French museums launch their big annual exhibitions and this year two major ones feature important women artists of the 20th Century. Opening first is Niki de Saint Phalle, and later Sonia Delaunay.

Niki de Saint Palle was a a beautiful woman and a great artist. The exhibiton is well laid out and worth a visit.
Niki de Saint Phalle with her partner, and artistic collaborator, Jean Tinguely. Together they would create major architectural sculptural commissions. They worked sided by side like Robert and Sonia Delaunay. Saint Phalle and Tinguely were equals unlike the Delaunays, when decades earlier Sonia Delaunay (a major artist in her own right) took a back seat to her husband Robert. Times had changed for art lovers and lovers of art.
