After we left the new decorative arts galleries we exited the museum into the the courtyard of the Louvre. It was was full of people from around the world enjoying the late summer sun.
The palace was bathed in a golden glow. Romantic couples were holding hands enjoying an evening walk.
Romantically inclined brides and grooms were there with their photographers having their portraits taken in the regal surroundings.
We strolled past this hive of activity, through the grand arches and across street to the Pont des Arts or as is more popularly known for now "The Love Lock Bridge".
Couples were sealing their love with a lock fastened on to the side of the bridge, whilst friends and small groups laid out their picnics on the benches, which stretch across the length of the bridge. We passed over the bridge into Saint Germain for lovely dinner, and a leisurely walk home.
